Snorkeling-Belize vs BVI
 

We are chartering a cat next year with captain so sailing ability is
not an issue. We've snorkeled the BVI's and know the snorkeling is
great. What is Belize like for snorkeling? Any comparisons? Any
other suggestions for great snorkeling while sailing?

I was there a couple of years ago... chartered a 43' cat with TMM (great
company btw). The snorkling was amazing... better than BVI by far in my
opinion.

thanks for the info and recomendation. we used ed hamilton last time
and they were awesome too. anyone else with snorkeling opinions?

Well, you've gotten such poor response, I'll chime in and second Jon's
comment. The Belize reef is the second largest in the world and it's
fabulous. The snorkelling in the Virgins is ok but not top-notch.

The reef in the Virgins is much more colorful than the one in Belize,
although I liked both.
