Can't get off this e-mail list, advice?
i have sent numerous e-mails to unsubscribe to no avail. anyone ever
tried to stop getting e-mails from this group?

This is a news group. I don't get any emails from it and never have.
Where are you getting these emails from? I'm not at all sure what
you're talking about.

Maybe they've subscribed through google groups.

How to get off depends upon how you got on. If through Google, sign
on and then click "Edit my subscription" on the starboard side of the
screen. Select the "no e-mail" option.

If you use other news reading software, click "help" and see you how
you subscribe; unsubscribing probably works similarly.

If all else fails, create a rule in your e-mail software to block or
trash all e-mail from this source. In Outlook that can be as simple
as opening a message, clicking "action" then "Junk e-mail" and
selecting "Add sender to blocked list."

Sorry our trolls got to you. It's been a long, long winter. Warming
(of any kind) and getting back on the water can't come soon enough.
