RO - what did you use for a pressure regulator valve?

The article in Good Old Boat suggests a Cat 7070 at $265 - what about
something a little less pricey in bronze?

I can't find that EDI invoice but I don't think I paid quite that much.
That is however, the cheapest back pressure regulator you are going to
find. The next cheapest from Circle Seal sells for $600+. They don't
make them in bronze and the standard brass type used on pressure washers
will suffer a rapid and messy death. You DO NOT want seawater at 800
PSI spraying around your engine room.

Might as well resign yourslef to the fact that you are going to have a
couple of boat bucks in any watermaker no matter how well you scrounge.
OTOH, for about $2500 you can build a unit that would sell for 3 times
as much from any of the major brands.
