Thanks Gordon As all real sailors know, if you can't afford Dubarry boots, you should sell your boat since you obviously don't have enough money to be a proper yotti. ;-) http://www.sailmaker.com/dubarry/boots/3601ultima.htm But seriously, they are VERY good boots. |

As all real sailors know, if you can't afford Dubarry boots, you should sell
your boat since you obviously don't have enough money to be a proper yotti. ;-) I'm sure that they are fantastic sea boots and doubtless will make your feet very happy and may improve your social standing (as it were). I don't know, but I've been told that "Really, Really Real Yotties" (TM) recognize each other because they wear ten year old West Marine Third Reef foulies and sea boots purchased at the local fishing shop for less than thirty bucks. Seriously, a set of fisherman's sea boots and some nice socks will get the job done but a set of top end boots will be much comfortable, less smelly and much more stylish. So, I wouldn't put fancy boots at the top of my priority list, but if you've got some spare cash or would like folks to think you do then go for the Dubarrys. -- Tom. |

I went the opposite way with 'Crocs'. http://www.crocs.com/home.jsp Two weeks ago I was out wading in the salt water up to my crotch while retrieving my sailboat. Didn't matter because the water ran right out and eventually dried up. |

Yup.. still wearing mine outside when walking the dog. Once the snow flies...or when daytime temperatures are below 0C, I'll just use them as indoor slippers. |

Watch the video...very nice, indeed. Your feet will stay dry and toasty with all those power winches doing the heavy lifting....power roller furling, main, headsail, mizzen. Why strain yourself?...(c; Can we build one for YOU? Larry -- Halloween candy left over..... Is there a downside? |
