Last sail of the season...?
Yesterday was probably the last sail for th Heart of Gold in
2006....though I might squeeze in one more. For the first half hour there was no wind, but it slowly picked up over the rest of the afternoon....and then it got COLD! We did finally get to try out our fancy sails..... http://youtube.com/watch?v=jlC4hXFU7OU Robert Beneteau 35s5 "Heart of Gold" City Island, NY |

Your video was nice.
We you know something about the Beneteau 33.1 and 34.3. I planning on buying a new boat before spring and the Beneteau 33.1 and Hunter 33 are on my short list. TIA "Capt. Your video was nice. We you know something about the Beneteau 33.1 and 34.3. I planning on buying a new boat before spring and the Beneteau 33.1 and Hunter 33 are on my short list. Thanks! The 331 and Hunter 33 are certainly good family boats for the money. My general feeling has been that Hunter has stepped up the build quality in the last few years, so if you're looking at very recent boats Hunter may be a better pick, unless you have serious plans to race. Many will say the Beneteau's sail better, but that may not be the only consideration when choosing. I do prefer the Beneteau's looks. You should try joining the Beneteau group on Google, it's the largest and you can get better feedback there by far. Good luck, Robert 35s5 NY |

@e3g2000cwe.googlegroups.com: http://youtube.com/watch?v=jlC4hXFU7OU Crap! You have to use Macromedia's crapware to view them. God knows what it's doing in background while you're watching the pretty pictures. I was reading a NY Times news article the last time I had Macromedia's crapware installed. There was a flash movie playing a spam that bothered me reading, so I right clicked on it and a popup window asked me if I minded the New York Times turning on my WEBCAM AND MICROPHONE SO THEY COULD WATCH INSIDE MY HOUSE! I spent another hour cleaning the crap off my machine. All of you should, too. Youtube can post mpg files....but then they wouldn't get the "Payload" installed on your system. @f16g2000cwb.googlegroups.com: Robert 35s5 NY Robert....sail her offshore to Charleston. Plenty of room at Charleston City Marina. Tell 'em you want to be on J-dock where the nice people live. Call us on 16 and we'll be standin' on the finger pier ready to tie her up. Come straight down the Charleston Jetties and take the port at Ft Sumter. Easy to find City Marina just beyond the CG base. J-dock is 2nd from the bridge on the other end. Winterize.....how awful. Winterize in Charleston means we switch the heat pumps over to HEAT from COOL where they've been running all winter....(c; BYOB appreciated. Hell, we got a nice CORA race on NEW YEARS DAY! Bring that Beneteau down and have a go! Look behind you for an Amel Sharki straggling along with a helluva handicap...das us! http://www.charlestonoceanracing.org/ http://www.charlestonraceweek.com/ Here's what we do in JANUARY!: http://charlestonyachting.blogspot.c...stbite-race-2_ 113865177510435822.html Then, of course, before trudging back up Nawth in the Spring, you'll sail her to Daytona Beach for a little peck at the Gulfstreamer, 225 miles of great offshore racing to Charleston! I sleep for days after she touches the dock...(c; http://www.hryc.com/gulfstreamer.php Oh, so pretty 200 miles off the Georgia coast wondering how much faster she'll go!.... Been working and playing with both since the 80s and refuse to work at home, so am on a Mac. The new iMacs are *sweet*! Just got one sorta on a whim, since my 5-year old G4 was still working just fine and was donated to a poor friend that had suffered 3 catastrophic failures in as many months. He's in ecstasy: Finally a machine that actually works. I, on the other hand, have never been blown away like this. The iMac is actually 5 times faster than my nearly-new Windoze development box, as measured by Seti@Home. At the moment, most of the top 50 or so individual computers in their ranking are Macs. -- Jere Lull Xan-a-Deux ('73 Tanzer 28 #4 out of Tolchester, MD) Xan's Pages: http://members.dca.net/jerelull/X-Main.html Our BVI FAQs (290+ pics) http://homepage.mac.com/jerelull/BVI/ |

Only if you're at home playing games, not out sailing. ;-) Almost every program is either compiled for both platforms or I found a functional (usually *more* functional) equivalent. And didn't you hear? Since the switch to Intel, they do Windows, too.
