Honda Gen in Engine Room

I have the same generator and it is set up in a similar fashion. The
difference is I am using a 350CFM @ 110 volts squirrel cage blower to
draw air out of the "box" and eject it overboard. You will want a duct
that directs the exhaust overboard and downward. The unit is very quite
but will vibrate a tiny bit. Also make sure you can get to the shut off
switch and starter rope easily.

I just bought an EU2000i Honda generator and I am going to install it
in my engine room inside an insulated sheetmetal box. I will have a
fresh air hose going in one side and an exhaust hose with an A/C
powered fan drawing out of the other side. The box will be mounted on
vibration absorbing mounts on top of plywood that is already down
there.

I've seen a 120 cfm in-line fan out on the web but I would prefer
something with a few more cfm's.

Anyone with any experience with this sort of set up? Know the air
requirements an EU2000i needs in order to operate? Seen any fans that
may work for me?
