Doral Citation Pump

Hello Kirk: If your Doral Citation is anything like my Doral Monticello,
then, the shower pump has it's own built in float.
Mine turns on when the water level in the shower sump gets to the point that
it is half way up the side of the pump.
It is automatically activated.

This is driving me nuts...How does the shower pump under the cabin

staircase
turn on. I have looked everywhere for a switch. This weekend I opened

every
access hatch to the bilge and head. I cannot find any sort of float for an
auto pump. Any help is appreciated. Daisy is a Doral Citation (1986).
Thanks
Kirk

Doral Citation Pump

Bingo Jim....That's a thought that struck me today. Bet you are right. I
will check the power into the pump and if it is there (+ - 12 volt) then I
will assume that it is self contained and order a new pump. I was caught up
in the idea that it worked like the bilge pump using a separate float
switch. Thanks buddy for the tip. You are on Rogers so you must be Canadian.
We are out of the Beaverton Yacht Club on Lake Simcoe. If you see us out on
the lake, let's do lunch. Look for "Daisy"
Yours,
Kirk
