1. Prepare a chlorine solution using one gallon of water and 1/2 cup (4

gallon of solution for each 5 gallons of tank capacity.

1 US gallon = 4 US quarts = 8 US pints = 8 X 16 US fluid ounces
1/2 US cup = 4 US fluid oz

SO
1/2 cup per gall is
4 in 8X16

OR
1 in 2X16 thats 1:32 by volume
That seems like a 3% solution to me.

But what do I know?
