For a southern BC cruise, say as far as Desolation Sound, is there a
specific type of shore power plug you take with you? Thank you.

"Correctly-wired" marinas will have the 30 amp twist-lock outlets as
used on the common Marinco yellow power cables, but many marinas will
have home-style 15 amp outlets. Some government wharves may have 20
amp twist-lock (like the 30 amp, but a slightly smaller pin circle
diameter).

For larger vessels, you may occasionally find 120/240V 50 amp outlets.

I think the outlets you will find in BC will be the same you find in
the US.

I was up there a couple weeks ago in the islands just North West of
Vancouver, and several times in the Gulf Islands, no difference. I
never had problems with just the 30 and 15amp.
