Image Stabilizing Binoculars

The input on binoculars was excellent and well appreciated, but I'd like
to know about the group's advice and opinion on image stabilizing
binoculars. The difference in price can be quite high, does the
performance justify it?

I like my Canon 10x30IS - I've been using them as my primary "at the
helm" glasses for 6 years. The extra magnification means I can read
the number off a mark from 50% further away. And the light weight
means I can hold them with one hand while keeping the other on the
wheel. I also have waterproof 7x50 for night work or bad weather.
