" I chose to build the box around a 9 gallon plastic tub rather than
fiberglassed (GRP) plywood. " I like this Idea,,,,, it certainly
would save a signigicant amount of time in such a build and possibly
end up with a better product and or finish

Any thoughts or comments on this?
Other than the obvious, that the shape of the box does not conform to
the intended space.

It appears that this idea/concept could be used or applied to water
and or holding tanks... the thickness could be doubled by putting one
tub inside another.

The top cover or front opening would have to be well insulated to slow down
heat from getting inside and cold from escaping outside. I have used 4
inches of pink foam for the top opening cover on my icebox and it made a
significant difference.
