boat, trailer, tow rig
Hi,
I bought a boat and trailer with total weight of 5,000 lbs. The trailer is dual axle with brakes on all wheels. The trailer brakes by the tongue moving into the trailer. My tow vehicle is a 2001 1/2 ton Suburban with 5.3 L engine. All does great from 0-50 mph. It struggles the closer I get to 60+. There is a slight sensation of push/pull from the trailer. I am concerned that perhaps the trailer's brakes are to sensitive or that I am out of horsepower from the Suburban. I pulled over after 50 miles and the hubs felt cool. What do you think? thanks |

Check your tongue weight. Sounds like it is swaying.

Hi,
Is the swaying an indication of tongue weight being to great or to little? thanks Marshall "Gordon" wrote in message ... Check your tongue weight. Sounds like it is swaying.
