Time for a new autopilot

This is for a 32' sailboat, 8 ton. I need a controller to hook up to my old
existing electro/mechanical rudder drive. Most any reversing output pump
drive should work.
So what's good? Are the low priced Navmans any good? How about Autohelm or
comnav?
Help
Thanks

I have been using an old Autohelm 4000 aboard my Gulfstar 41'. The seal
failed and I ended up with h20 in it and...a fried unit. I sent it back to
Raymarine and though I knew they couldn't fix it, by sending it in, it
triggered an offer of a factory rebuilt modern unit for about half the price
of retail. Haven't installed it yet...but seems like a great plan to me.
Don't know if you like the newer models of the same manufacturer as your old
unit...might work for you.
