Because all you've done is claim you're not a bigot. Most bigoted
comments are followed by a disclaimer such as "I'm not a bigot, I just
noted that many [Jews, Blacks, Muslims, etc] ..."

If you were truly trying to make a different point, then you would be
quite apologetic that your remarks were interpreted as bigoted.
Frankly, if you really cared about the truth, you could have spent
about 15 seconds googling and found numerous case of Jewish groups
helping out, though it should be obvious that with the exception of
Houston there isn't a significant Jewish community close enough to do
much in the first few days other than raise money, nor do they have an
organization like the Salvation Army.
