Are OMC sterndrives even still in production? I thought that they'd sold their sterndrive business to Volva Penta. That would make them an orphan whereas the Merc sterndrives are still in production. If you get an Alpha 1 gen II Merc drive they are common as dirt, and the parts are obtainable just about anywhere, including on the web. YMMV, Don W.
