Jobs on cruisers
 

Hi all,

I'm thinking about working at cruiser, never done before and i'm
looking for adivces...
I'm 24 year old man with IT degree and certified massage therapist.
Which do you think is better to work at cruiser? what about earnings?
working hours? do you prefer some companies?

If you can somehow figure out how to massage online financial data, I'd say
your future is unlimited. At least 'til you get caught.

I'd suggest quit screwing around on boats before you end up a pauper
serving fries and burgers and get busy writing us a new operating system to
upgrade Unix! Cruise the boat past Bill Gates' new house, Windows, on the

I can't imagine a skilled IT professional scraping handrails and swabbing

God I love to watch the Used Car Salesmen in Boat Shoes kissing his ass and
begging him to buy that new Azimut, don't you?...(c;

Come back in a few years and ask us what megayacht is best, ok? You can
buy us all a beer for pointing you away from this stupid idea of working
for some cheapassed yachtie....

I've got a buddy like that. He has worked on the yachts of big
companies and some very rich people. Spends every cent he makes on
crazy boat projects. Last year we had to throw money into the pot to
get him home for his mother's funeral.
So....if you can ...go for the good job. One year 'bumming' around
boats may not be bad but questionable for a lifetime ambition. (unless
you go for a commercial captains license & sail oil tankers etc)

SHIP?

He doesn't sound like a Central American or Philipino willing to work for
$5.25/hr, does he? That's about what a cruise ship pays its slaves.

Well his English isn't too good, or at least his written English isn't
that good. He's young and unattached, and he could work in the spa
on the ship or in the internet cafe - don't those people get more?

But the clue to me is where he asks 'do you prefer some companies?'

I can't imagine that he could get a job on a regular boat with just
massage and computer skills.
