I'm blind, I'm blind,.. kidding. What can I paint the deck with? It's
fiberglass with mostly matts of brown nonskid everywhere. The house
and cockpit are glaring white even after 20 years. Anyone have any
idea how to reduce the glare? (besides/in addition to sunglasses)? A
dark color would be too hot. Oyster white is still too bright. What do
you tropical cruisers do? thanks and keep up the good work.

Quit washing it.

Ahoy Captain:
Glare solution=Buy a boat with a crisp white hull......but deck/cabin
of soft cream yellow. Owned my Douglas 32 for about 3 years before I
caught on to the thought/care the designer (Ted Brewer) and builder
put into making it a GREAT cruising boat.

It didn't have any scuppers either, rather a deck drain at the lowest
point that teed into the cockpit drain. Hence NO streak down the
lovely white hull from rain-washed grime dripping over the side all
week when I was anchored to my office desk.
