Great "sea story". You knew that Mattew wrote about Yeshuah bin Pendara, not Yeshuah bin Joseph (Jesus) who lived some 50 years later? ********** Yeshuah Ben Stada Ben Pidara is the name that the Jews gave Jesus of Nazareth when they wrote about him in the Talmud. .... It's not my intent to present the Talmudic history of Jesus as more accurate than or inferior to the Gospel history, but I will point out that there were not two different men as you seem to believe. If you put your brain in gear before your keyboard you will see that the factual info you present does not preclude the truth of my statement. There were many named Yeshuah in that period. In partiular, there was a Yeshuah ben Pendara, the son of a Roman soldier and Jewish mother, who made inflamatory speeches and got himself hanged on a tree and stoned some 50 years before the man we call Jesus was born. Some scholors believe Mattew, writing over 100 years later, described him by mistake. |
