Nope.
I'll give you another hint. I first visited the long beach just past the first headland when the entire stretch of sand and everything for miles inland was owned by a single family. A number of people lived on the property in what was essentially a 60's - 70's commune. When I visited, a half dozen of us had the whole beach to ourselves and spent the afternoon body surfing nude. Incredible conditions. The beach is very flat so we could ride the waves for tremendous distances and the sand was so sun warmed that the normally frigid Maine water was quite comfortable. This was the early 70's so let your imagination run wild. The beach and marsh were later donated as a conservation area with a very small and unmarked parking lot. It was a semi secret place for years. We would tell people to find it by cruising slowly along a certain stretch of road and looking for several Volvo's parked at the end of a side road. For some reason, only people with Volvo's went there. Recently, a large parking lot was put in but the two mile walk down to the beach keeps usage low enough to make it a remarkable place to visit. The sign at the entrance says, "No dogs, no bikes, no kites", and, "Nudity will be cause for immediate ejection." Time marches on. -- Roger Long "Wayne.B" wrote in message ...
