Sea kayak guides Kenai peninsula
 

Hi!

I am considering spending the summer in Kenai area. Are there any
outfitters that offer budget tours? Most I find are too expensive for
me.

Also, is it possible to rent kayaks anywhere? And is it difficult to
connect with paddlers for trips? I can paddle, have a brace and roll.

Are you looking at sea kayaking or river kayaking? If Sea Kayaking you need
to concentrate on jobs in Whittier, Seward or Homer. Maybe something in
Seldovia.

If river kayaking you will have better luck getting a job in Kenai or
Soldotna, they are much larger places.

There used to be a guy in Whittier that would just rent sea Kayaks. Get a
map and gear and go out yourself. REI in Anchorage probably rents kayaks
and they would have a board for hooking up with folks. You can probably
call the store and get the best infomation.
