boat removal in the Bay Area
hi there,
I got an old boat in my slip and need to trash it. it is a coronado 27 build in 1972 and has not been sailed for a long time. engine and outboard engine are probably not working anymore. cannot donate since it is not worth anything. didnt find a place that takes it yet (in the Bay Area) Can anyone point me to a junk yard or who or whatever might take this boat. thanks, larsinla |

There is a certain Capt Neal who frequents alt.sailing.asa who might be looking a newer Coronado. His is a 1971 model. |

It's going to cost you some money to get necessary land fill permits to trash it. The engine will be a problem. Get it out of the boat before you try to take it to the land fill. HTH Lew |

I mean honestly and completely. You will be shocked how much it makes. Specially if you can wait for Spring. Brian W |

We just picked up a fresh-water Newport 27 with Atomic 4 working fine and in all-round pretty good shape on ebay for US$2225. There are some real bargains out there. OTOH, it looks like anything that is floating will yield some kind of bid -- make the starting bid a low one and don't specify a reserve. Ryk |
