Hello I'm a UK yachtsman taking an E coast USA cruise next year and am thinking of laying up for the winter in Nova Scotia - it's on the way home. Where do I go to look for a good boatyard? I like them friendly and reliable and not too far from airports etc. I'm sorry, but the only place that comes to mind is Halifax. Is that a good place to look? Many thanks New Brunswick? Saint John? You could do the reversing falls and the amazing Saint John river, Washdemoak and Grand Lakes, and on to Fredericton in the spring, or for a winter berth. Rothesay Yacht Club, Kennebekasis YC, St. John Marina (Ketapeck) all come to mind in Saint John, New Brunswick. Terry K |
