Hi all

Has anyone any experience of using this device on a steel boat. I
assume that it can only reliably be used in one location on the boat
after setting up. I have emailed KVH but haven't received a reply yet.

Regards

Steve

No different than any other magnetic HB compass. I don't think you
can.

Even if there is a place where it works for a while, it will change.

Hi

I have received a reply from KVH and have been told that the device
will work OK as long as the deviation is not too different between
locations, how this works out in practice I don't know. Any
experiences? Changes in declination can be adjusted for.

Regards

Steve
