Great pictures. Who gets credit for the audio?

Audio? I didn't get any.
I played hookey today, but I'm varnishing Yes, it's worth it, and it ain't hard work, if you follow the directions. I have to ask, Why the radar reflector in a closed bay, an a sunny day? It's windage, makes noise, and will corrode making it fall out of the sky, possibly when it's needed. If I was to use one, I'd buy a good one and keep it in below, except when I thought it was needed. I hate the look of those things, and, having a trawler with a good radar, I'm skeptical of their effectiveness. I've seen many times where a boat with a reflector never showed up on my screen. Great photos RayD wrote: SpinSheet magazine caught us playing hooky from work. They put Tempest on their 2005 Calendar for January. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/lily0523/tempest.htm |

On the Chesapeake Bay, radar reflectors are important. There is a lot of
commercial shipping and reflectors are required for several of the races (BOR, Governors Cup for example). I do a fair amount of cruising at night. Mine dosen't make noise and I haven't had any problems with it so I just leave it up. There's a small block on the spreader so the line dosen't chaff. |
I canceled that message, but it still showed up on your server.
I thought the radar reflector detracted from a good photo. Jim RayD wrote: On the Chesapeake Bay, radar reflectors are important.
