Jeanie -- A Storm to Watch
Jeanie has been wandering in the Atlantic for about a week. Its
landfall is not yet known -- could strike coastal and inland southern to central to northern FL east coast or further N, in Georgia, S. Carolina or N. Carolina. This storm could damage southern and near western ICW and marinas more than Ivan or Charlie. Same for N. Bahamas, i.e., Abacos, etc. It's a storm we need to watch closely. |

I am watching this one very closely too. It could come up the Georgia
coast. If it does and causes any major silting it could be the end for the ICW from Cumberland Island to Savannah. We have received no money for maintenance in two years and none for next year and the State does not contribute anything to waterway maintenance the way Florida does. |
