Small Powerboat decisions - a few questions.

I am considering the boats listed below:

Bayliner 175
Stingray 180
Glastron SX 175

These are 135HP I/O engines.

1) I would like to know if they will have issues pulling up my 230 lb self
on two skis? One?
2) does anyone have any strong preferences among these boats?
3) anyone know of any similarly priced I/O alternatives?
3) I prefer outboards, any outboard alternatives?

Thanks!
Dave

They'll do it, but with a bit of struggle.

2) does anyone have any strong preferences among these boats?

Glastron is a pretty good boat for the money.
Don't know much about Stingray.
Bayliners still have a bad rep, due to poorly built boats several years
ago. They're better now, but the stigma remains.

3) anyone know of any similarly priced I/O alternatives?

Sea-Ray and Chaparral have better boats in that size,

3) I prefer outboards, any outboard alternatives?

On rec.boats, you'll prolly get more answers, as this group is mostly
sail boats.

Dave,
Try the JD Power quality web page for quality information about various
boats. Power is not attached to any brands and gives good feedback on
quality issues. Here is link.
