Simrad/Navico WP5000 autopilot wiring...

Anyone know the correct wiring information for the WP5000? The manual shows
only the pinout functions of the bulkhead socket. Mine has only a bare
cable, with red/black/yellow/green wires. Red and black are obvious, but of
the yellow and green - which is NMEA data and which is NMEA common? Does the
NMEA standard call out preferred color coding?

Just hook it up and if you got it backwards you won't get any data.
If that happens just reverse the connections. NEMA is a current loop
signal and it just doesn't work backwards. Furuno uses Green as NEMA+
and Yellow as NEMA-, as I recall. It has been a few years since I needed
to remember that.
