mercruser 5.0 260 hp. Bravo Three

Last weekend I had a total of about 2000 lbs on board my 2003 Sea Ray 245
Weekender. I had very little power and had the throttle wide open for a
while. The boat (which usually runs fine) never reached 3000 RPM and never
really got up on plane. Could the weight I was carying or their positions in
the boat have caused this condition?

Yup! If you do that regularly, you'll want a different prop.
