Peggy Hall ?

Hi,

I have a jabsco model head dont have the model # with me here its the long
cyclinder with the know on top that fills and flushes. If you need more just
let me know. it has a 25amp fuse. I bought a new filter replaced the fuse
and everything worked, Well after a couple times the fuse blew and now the
fuse blows as soon as I put it in and try and use it. do you have any ideas
how I can correct this issue? Also my marine surveyor suggested I get a
vac-u-flush system to replace what I have can you tell me what would be
involved with that?

Thanks

Paul

A tampon inserter stick (among other things) stuck in the chopper
pump will pop fuses. Dissassemble, reassemble?

Peggy?

Your description sounds like a 29200 conversion. I just checked the
specs...a 25 amp fuse is the right size.

The most likely cause is, somebody flushed something they shouldn't have
that's jammed the impeller. When the impeller can't spin, it causes the
motor to overheat and blow the fuse or breaker.

Quite a bit of money for thing--at least $2000...maybe more, depending
upon how much labor is required. The VacuFlush is only available from
"authorized VacuFlush Service Centers" for a price about $1100, who must
also install it or the warranty is void. I've heard from people who had
quotes in excess of $3500! You can read all about how it works on the
SeaLand website at http://www.sealandtechnology.com/operation.html

Check for a clog...and also signs of corrosion in the motor. If your
toilet is "toast", we'll explore which toilet is the best for your needs
for a reasonable price.
