Wow! That sounds like a life I'd like to have. Some nice job at TI,
perhaps embedded electronics or something like that and a cute boat
too! :-)

johannes

Well... 26 yrs of working after college and this is the first time I have
taken 4 contiguous weeks since I was in 7th grade back around 1967.
We do integrated circuit development here in Manchester, the old Unitrode
team.

OK

Well reason Im asking is cause a good friend and his
wife just sold EVERYTHING and drove down to Florida and
bought a 32' sail boat and taking a year to "cruise"

They started planning three years back for this by
taking all kinds of classes, etc

Anyway..... I don't own a boat and don't know anything
abt sailing... but his adventure has me fascinated!

As a result Ive posted a few messages on the "nuts and
bolts" for doing such a thing

IF you want to read a good book about that same thing, try "An
Embarassment of Mangoes". About a Canadian two career couple who
chucked it all and spent several years cruising down the ICW, Bahamas
and the Caribbean. Written by the wife but it will make you want to
sell the house and tell the world where to stick it.

Hi, I've lived aboard for the last almost 6 years now. Left Canada's west coast
from Nanaimo and sailed down the US coast to Mexico and around into the Sea of
Cortez. My sailboat is now stored in San Carlos while I earn a little to go
back to Mexico in Dec. See my website at:

Very cool!!

I will check your web page out

I just came back from Playa del Carmen area myself. Not
via a boat tho. G
