Cabling in mast

Please forgive my ignorance but are they any special concerns regarding
electronics cabling in a mast that has the halyards running internally?

Cabling in mast

Cabling should be kept in conduit (tubing) so it doesn't get caught up or
drive you nuts clanging around at anchor.
