Galveston Bay and area the tides +2-3 ft -w- light rain.. winds
17kts.
Looks like the valley and Mexico will get the brunt of Alex, which is
good.

Ah, but it isn't refereed to in those terms, it is a "synoptic
Report".

Sounds much more professional. Like "there is a 98% chance of
precipitation" sounds so much more comforting that "It's a real gully
washer out there!"

My ladies were out driving today, is why I asked.

Daughter and her beau drove up from Laredo to San Antonio a couple
of days ago (in pouring rain).

Mom met them in San Antonio yesterday.

55 minute flight left four hours late.

They left SA at noon, and past Austin by 6 pm (80 miles).

Interstate 35 was running 11 mph today.

I sent them to Days Inn.

Try again tomorrow...
