musto mpx ocean race smock: narrow neck / collar issue
 

My son got a "musto mpx ocean race smock" , size L, as a birthday
present. He likes it very much - except for the narrow neck
circumference. He has a neck circumference of 44 cm (17 1/3 "),
whereas the inner diameter of the inner layer of the collar, when
properly closed, measures only 39 cm (15 3/8 ") The same applies for
the middle and outer layer - closing the latter tightly without an
external oxygen supply would minimize his life expectance.

Others here will probably have similar experiences with this item. Is
there a way to change the collar? We mail-ordered it from a british
dealer - any advice for us? Thanks in advance, and a happy new year!
