If we put RECBOATSCRUISING as the beginning of the header in ALL our
postings, we can easily filter out the recent ****storm of Indian spammers
and just see rbc's posters again.

How about it....??

I've chased several of them via WHOIS, but there isn't anything
common to the bunch.

They are all over the world(?).

Yep. Some kind of bot generating them.
And there is something common.
monsterusenet or some such is the org.
It'll stop. Seen it before. Somebody finds out who's behind it and
makes a visit with a baseball bat.
Not nearly as wacky as that poor sap over at ASA.
Keeps posting stuff that nobody reads or responds to.
Looks political, but I just delete them, so I'm not sure.
Just reminds me of Eleanor Rigby.

Yes, but if the subject line of every real poster began with something
common to all, followed by the real subject, the readers would sort the
subject line so all the real posts would be together.

After thinking about this, it might be a good idea to start each post with
something that will put it at the top of the subject list like:

"""

which only takes a second to type, even on an iphone, and alphabetizes it
at the top of the list sorted on subject....

Well, seems moot, tonight. The bot seems to have been stopped, for now.
I've not seen a post in many hours, now. Maybe it's just that server
blacklisted from usenetserver.com when I reported it to them.....
