Thinking about flamingos

Ya, I know. Nothing much to do about sailing except that I was thinking
about sailing while creating the design. Specifically, thinking about the
Med and the French Riviera.

I agree, come on down to the bayou and check out the Roseate
Spoonbills. Way cool coonass swamp bird. Not sure how they tast
though. My engineer Ray Ray was telling me how to cook robins one
night. I guess they are the tasty bird of choice. Heck I even remember
reading in a depression era cookbook calling for "...one bucket of
large robins...." now i know.

FOrget the flamingos and check out the Spoonbills.

Eek! Okay, I checked out the spoonbill. Looks like a pelican and a platypus
got busy and this was the offspring. Interesting critter, but I'll stick
with the flamingos. Still, probably tastes like chicken. ;-)

Is there such a thing as large robins. The ones I have seen seem
pretty much of a size.

You do have a point there. Seems to me they'd only be smaller when they're
kittens. Speaking of depression-era cuisine, my favorite is "Hoover Hog,"
aka armadillo. Not that I've ever had it, I just love the name.
