Leaving a sailboat in the Bahamas
I'm going back and forth to the Bahamas from Tampa area - does anyone
have any suggestions for safe places to leave my 30' sailboat with 5'5" keel for a few weeks at a time in the Abacos and also near Nassau? |

One place you might consider is one of Troy's mooring balls in the
harbor at Great Guana. He would check on it for you as well. |

Another thought is if you'd prefer a boat slip, I've heard that the
marinas in Marsh Harbor are now charging only 65 cents/ft. |

I believe it is mostly a commercial enterprise, and not inexpensive when we were there last year. My choice would be a marina at Marsh Harbour if cruising the Abacos is a priority. There are also marinas at Green Turtle Cay, Spanish Cay, Spanish Wells, Hope Town, Nassau and a few others. Marsh Harbour is central to the Abacos however with good transportation, supplies and services. |

Thanks for heads up on SSCA - I just joined - seems worthwhile.
