Fort McRee, Pensacola
Anybody know the condition at the little "cove" at Fort McCree in
Pensacola? Did the hurricanes mess it up? I remember one could hug the island and there was deep water almost up to the beach once you got in. We're hunkering down at a marina in Slidell, LA until the weather warms up and then will be cruzin' East. Like to spend a few days re-exploring the fort and walking the beach. We draw 6-1/4 ft. We were there last winter, I remember it well... one my favorite anchorages (except on weekends) The deep water going in was closer to the marsh side (south) back then.. Fresh Breezes- Doug King |
