This is my first time insuring a boat. Insurance companies ask two
things, (among others) how much it cost (50 000 Euros), and how much you want to insure it for. How do you decide how much to insure it for? |

How do you decide how much to insure it for? In the US, it would be for agreed-upon value, set by the insurance survey. You can always insure for less, but it's unlikely that you can insure for more. That value can be higher or lower than your purchase price. I strongly suggest you get a true marine insurance policy, which will not probably be handled by your home/auto broker. -- Jere Lull Xan-a-Deux ('73 Tanzer 28 #4 out of Tolchester, MD) Xan's Pages: http://members.dca.net/jerelull/X-Main.html Our BVI FAQs (290+ pics) http://homepage.mac.com/jerelull/BVI/ |
