I'm finding that usenet is kind of light on the subject of floods, rivers,
etc., so I'm hoping someone here might be able to steer me in the right direction. I'm looking at buying a house on the north shore of Lake Hickory (Hickory, Catawba County, NC, US) and wondering where I could go to find out how high the lake has risen in the past in floods. Any referral would be greatly appreciated. |

Try http://water.usgs.gov/ . There is so much info available about water
conditions and quality for thousands of rivers, streams, lakes, and reservoirs in the US that it can be kind of daunting to find exactly what you're looking for. Perhaps this link may be helpful for Catawba County - http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nc/nwis/in...eria=county_cd "HBYardSale" wrote in message ...
