thermostats

For anyone who does their own boat maintenance--

I have a Yamaha 250 HP and am trying to save some $$ by doing my own
winterizing this year. The goal is to purchase a thermostat somewhere
via the web (dealers are typically more expensive and not convient
seeings how I live in a small town) and change it myself.

Anyone have recommendations as to where I can find Yamaha replacement
thermostats online? Without having to contact a dealer to order?

I would go to the dealer for the thermostat for two reasons.

One, your largest savings will be the labor. You'll only save a few
dollars on the parts.

Second, the Yahama dealer is going to have the best parts. Everyone
else might have the best parts but the dealer will for sure. Do you
want to chance inferior parts and have to do it again?
My two cents.
