"mahogany" hull construction, etc... ?
As a type of wooden boat [35-40 ft] construction, how would.....
epoxy laminated mahogany hull over oak beams with a teak deck ......be regarded by the group, as a type of wooden boat construction ? Appreciatively, Courtney |

It would definitely be a wooden boat but if you cold mould in mahogany you
probably don't need the oak frames. I saw an absolutely beautiful bright finished cold molded mahogany 40'er at Annapolis last week. No frames other than the laminated mahogany ring frame at the mast. Teak side decks, mahogany coaming and cap rails. It was so pretty it should have come with a fleece lined muff for storage on the hard. :-) -- Glenn Ashmore I'm building a 45' cutter in strip/composite.
