How a Flip Flop Seat Mounted on Deck?

I am about to remove a flip-flop bench seat in order to check the
condition of the deck underneat the seat. But before I do that, I want
to make sure I know how to mount it back on the deck. Therefore, I
want to know how it was installed in the first place.

A flip flop seat is a seat that has a cooler/live-well at the bottom,
and a cushion as a cover of the cooler/live-well. The back support of
the seat can be flip forward and backward (not sure why people would
want to flip it forward anyway). You can see a seat almost exactly
like mine in this link (called "Wise Cooler Flip Flop"):

I have tried searching for this info in the net; but I cannot find
anything. I have also tried to find this info in the manufacturers'
web site (namely B&M and Wise); but I cannot locate their web sites.

Please help. Thanks.

Usual method is just sheet metal screws through cleats on the cooler to the
plywood deck.

I see. This means if I unscrew and re-screw a couple times, the screws
will eventually lose the grip. I may need to bed the screw holes with
epoxy to strengthen them when I mount the seat back on the deck.

Now I know what I will up against. Thanks.

Yes, you are exactly right. Last weekend, I removed the seat and found
that the seat was mounted on the deck by large screws. The screws were
screwed into wood framing, not into core. I guess this is OK. This
means I don't need to replace the screws with through-bolt (I cannot
anyway). All I need to do to improve upon the existing mounting method
is to replace the core material around the screws with epoxy bedding.
