I need 3 Opti's for some very young sailors.

Ever think about having the youths build them? I don't sell plans for
prams but there are free plans out there for prams. A very rewarding
program for youth groups.

I'm helping a boy scout troop in VA build their own kayaks and the
scouts are very excited about the idea of building their own boats.

have you tried going to www.google.com and doing a search for the Optimist
association? usually class websites have an area where people advertise
used boats for sale.

Why not call Vanguard, who build the little things, and see if they know any
clubs replacing their old ones, which may be going cheap? Their number is
401-683-0960 (RI)l
