I'm building a 36ft aluminum Van de Stadt and I'm not sure how far down the hull I need to spray my insulation. Should I go just to the waterline, or is it better to spray almost to the bilges? Thanks Just to the waterline is absolutely standard. You can't insulate against the cold from the ocean. But you can insulate under floorboards with rigid foam too, to keep the cold at bay.
