My sincerest apologies for the political rants, they were supposed to
go to another group. How I sent them here is beyond me, sorry guys.
Note, I was posting them in response to direc attacks on another
group. I should however note that I do not retract any of the comments
and stand by them as they stand. I will not answer any posts here on
rec.boats.builders in relation to these posts and ask that you all
remember that I am and have always been a serious participant here,
and you can be sure that I will be much more careful in the future..

Hey, Scotty -
We're 'all friends' here - don't hold back, tell us what you really think !!

While I'm not 'politically motivated' {I did serve in SEA - actually fought
to get in because I'm 4-F on at least two counts}, I think 'we' NEVER see
'the best candidates'. They are either driven off by the idea that no matter
how mentally & morally strong they are, their families will be exposed to
the crudeness of the 'fight'. Or their own 'Party' won't support them
because the really 'honest' person would expose the crap of ANY side.

How many people realize that even in a 'hotly contested' race - LESS than 50
percent {maybe 35 percent?} of the population - VOTE AT ALL ??

Regards & Good Luck,
Ron Magen

{PS - try to keep an eye on your cousin - the last guy that spent time in a
reclusive cabin was sending mail bombs for 19 years - NOT the best political
move, either}

Some newsreqaders allow you to delete articles you've posted. I use the
default newsreader on Unix (Sun/OS) and it will delete if I'm quick
enough. Once the article leaves this system some hosts will process the
delete request and some won't.
