Lexan (polycarbonate) & acrylic dodger window - cold form curvature ?

I read an article that said that acrylic and polycarbonate sheets
exhibit stress distortion when cold formed bent - like rainbow oil
sheen colors, or distortions when looked thru with polarized glasses.
Is this true - or only past a certain point.

What about dodger window thickness - 1/8" lexan - curved as it needs
to be to fit the boat - would seem to be enough?

How much will polycarbonate cold form curve?

Any disadvantages?

hi
If you want to cold form a clear sheet of plastic use Makrolon it is used
for safety guards on machines and is a polycarbonate sandwich, The best
advantages is that it is scratch resistant and can be cold folded to 90 deg
or more in a metal bender without stressing and breaking .
