Unfinished wood weatherability
 
Besides teak which goes silver in sun/salt - what other woods are
good/OK for long term exterior use (like in a hard dodger) without any
finish.

Iroko, but will erode faster than teak.

Our boat in done inside and out in Narra. Weathers and wears
like teak but only costs a third to a forth as much.I bought 50
bd-ft from EcoTimber in northern California a couple of years
ago.

Locust. It's supposedly the most rot resistant wood there is. Fence
posts made with it can last more than 30 years.

In the nursery when my dad was young they used cyprus for the
planters, it did not rot.

Make sure it is black locust not honey locust.
