You are planking and ask that? sigh

Assuming carvel, you will need...
1. Cotton caulk

2. One or more caulking irons

3. Stopping

With those you...
1. Tap in loops of the cotton. How much depends on your seams.

2. Make the seams with the iron by hitting it with a hammer. How hard
you hit is determinrd mostly by sound.

3. Stop (fill) the seams

None of that will do you a lick of good if you didn't shape your planks
to receive caulking.

Hi
Not to forget that you can project so that instead of caulking ,you can
router along the seal and replace the caulking with glued in wooden
splines, --- this save old boats and allow the planks to dry compleatly
while you are building. It also mean that you don't need to be that
accurate when fitting the planks ensuring a perfect fit.
