Hi I got a Yamaha outboard 6hp long shaft (20" )
In the plate it says:

Yamaha 6LJ
6H6 L 305163

Anyone can help me to know what year and other info about it?

Have you called Yamaha?

Not called, but there is a web page for yamaha parts " only for
outboards sold in the usa" from 1984 to present , and it dows not show

If the outboard is older than 1998, they will no reference to it on the site,
which is primarily for selling new stuff.
Call them - it'll be worth it.

Whent to a dealer and they searched in a www page like the one I can
search at home. I said "like" becuse it shows in the list for 1986
model, but in the page I go from home does not show any 6 hp made in
1986
