chopper gun and epoxy
On 19 Jan 2004 09:12:12 -0800,
(Bob) vaguely
proposed a theory
.......and in reply I say!:
Chopper guns are used to lay up huge layers as quickly as possible,
not to apply barrier layers. CSM in a gun produces quite a ragged
finish, unless vacuum bagged afterward. CSM is for bulk, not finish or
strength, and probably not for waterproofing either, as strands are
likely to stick up out of the layup, again unless
VB
'd.
Anyone know of a method to use a chopper gun and epoxy. Is a copper
gun made that works for epoxy?
I thought it might be a good way to apply a barrier layer to a FRP
hull.
Don't know if it even exists.
Tks
Bob

I was frightened by the idea of a conspiracy that was
causing it all.
But then I was terrified that maybe there was no plan,
really. Is this unpleasant mess all a mistake?
